Brian Burns
Co-Founder of Platform Industrial
Brian Burns, Co-Founder of Platform Industrial, brings 25+ years of real estate investing experience, starting with farmland acquisitions and evolving into residential, multifamily, commercial, and ultimately industrial assets.
Having acquired over 5 million square feet of industrial property with strong returns, he now leads acquisition underwriting and financing at Platform Industrial, while his brother Todd, oversees property management and investor relations. Brian also founded Platform Capital Partners, a micro middle-market investment group, and previously served as Partner at Pine Street Growth Partners.
Earlier in his career, he worked in turnaround consulting and private equity with Arthur Andersen, Alvarez & Marsal, and others. He holds a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Iowa and is a licensed CPA in Illinois.
Todd Burns
Co-Founder of Platform Industrial
Co-founder of Platform Industrial, responsible for evaluating acquisition opportunities, performing due diligence, onboarding tenants, and overall asset management duties. With over 20 years of investment real estate management in the residential and commercial spaces, his operational experience and financial background have created a unique hands-on approach focused on planning and execution to achieve desired results.
In addition to his role at Platform Industrial, Todd was an Operating Partner with Platform Capital and served as on-site interim management in special situations. Prior to joining Platform Capital, Todd was a Partner at Pine Street Growth Partners in Denver, CO. Pine Street was an independent sponsor investment firm focused on growth investments in the lower middle market. Todd holds a B.S. in marketing from Bradley University and completed accounting coursework at the University of
Illinois.
